What a deal! |

Found Brandy Beans on sale--250 grams for the unbelievably low price of $1.47. For the folks who are still on the stone age system of measurement, that's a little more than the weight of a rock weighing half a pound.

And for those unfamiliar with Canadian dollars, they're worth a little more than a U.S. dollar...but then again, what isn't?

Having (briefly) looked for them, I can say I'm jealous. Though having a rock made of brandy seems like it'd be hard to eat.

If they're that cheap they couldn't have been much good to start with, Metricboy. |

Either you lack attention span or memory...or both. It's already been stated that the maker is a respected German company with world-wide sales, comaboy. I just had a look at the box and I see it has 5% alcohol and is illegal for sale to minors.
Of course, they would be much more expensive in the States where the currency is near worthless. |

I checked into it, iceback. Your 'respected German company' has a very tainted history.
This WWII advertising shows a happy Hermann Goering advertising the product. And why wouldn't he be happy, with the kickbacks he was getting for supplying slave labour to the company. Goering committed suicide just before he could be hanged at Nuremberg, eating a cyanide-laced Brandy Bean he had shoved up his asshole - just desserts if you ask me. My parents, both deceased veterans, fought against the Third Reich so keep your Nazi candy to yourself.

Nice try, Show-me-boy. You obviously doctored that image. There's some other German soldier on my box.
