What do you think of this as an ultimate question?
What is your ultimate question?
What answer/s do you have to this (or to your) ultimate question?
As for myself, I - unsurprisingly - have no satisfactory answer to this question. All of the answers that I have encountered in the end seem to boil down to something like "It just is". Here are a couple of examples: firstly, the monotheistic religions. These religions answer the question as: "God created existence". This of course raises the question: "Well, where did God come from?" The monotheistic answer to this question is typically "God is timeless and eternal"... i.e. "It just is". Secondly, the approach that QRS take which is to say that rather than a conscious timeless and eternal "God", it is the universe itself (the Totality) that is without boundary, without beginning, without ending and without cause/origin - i.e. "It simply always has been and always will be" i.e. "It just is". Neither of these approaches come close to satisfying my hunger to understand everything that's worth understanding in the ultimate realms. How about you? Can you think of any other philosophical/spiritual paradigms that provide a different (perhaps more satisfactory) answer to the fundamental question?
